Milan defeated in his first match: here we are again
In the last season rossoneri lost against Sampdoria, a newly-promoted in Serie A, just like Hellas Verona
by Mohamed Ezzat
AC Milan failed again to win the first match of the season for the second time consecutive, a trade mark presented only by coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Last season Milan lose against Sampdoria which was coming back from Serie B, we don't want to discredit Sampdoria or Hellas Verona but if a team that is in the top 3 loses from a team which is in the last 3 positions of the table... that's something bad especially for the fans, as well as for the players and the coach.

Milan played this game with at least 10 players not fit for the game, suspended, or injured, among those there are names like Kevin Prince Boateng, Nigel De Jong, Sulley Muntari, and last but not least Giampaolo Pazzini. On the other hand Milan paid a price for not having any new top player like the super Mario Balotelli to support the squad and give it some kind of stability and experience. All essential factors for a squad who has top team ambitions.

What we saw in Verona was not a Milan with its unique identity, even the coach Allegri said that the team needs a different attitude. It was just a team of young players with a promising future, but only if these young talents are mixed with well-experienced players.

But Milan had great problems with the defence as well. In each and every cross by Hellas Verona, Kevin Constant created dangerous chances for the goal guarded by Christian Abbiati, needless to say that his positioning in the second goal was not correct. The rossoneri midfielders were like ghosts, Verona players were running around without any pressure.

Super Mario Balotelli was left alone because the ghost of Stephan El Shaarawy didn’t seem to take part in the game. Milan’s next game against Cagliari is Sunday September first. Will we see an old giant with a new face? Or will it be another fail in Allegri’s experience with Milan? Is there a possibility that the coach could resign in the next weeks, especially if AC Milan will not overtake the Champions League playoff?

We have to remind a fact: in the last June Allegri wanted to leave Milan. He was really near to sign for AS Roma. Milan managing director Adriano Galliani changed Allegri mind. Good choice?
