For the same reason, Uefa has targeted five other clubs: Monaco, Besiktas, Krasnodar, Liverpool and Sporting Lisbon. The mentioned clubs will have to provide further information during October and November and will be under constant monitoring. Subsequently further communications will take place and some “precautionary measures” might be imposed.
Overall, including the seven clubs just cited and the nine that have signed settlement agreements last season, 115 clubs will be supervised during this season and have been asked to present reports on their last financial statements and a briefing of their outstanding debts at the 30th of semptember 2014.
Uefa has also announced the temporary suspension of prizes for five clubs (Bursaspor, Cluj, Astra Giurgiu, Podgorica and Ekranas) all taking part in European competitions since “significant overdue payables towards other clubs, employees and/or social/tax authorities have not been met” as on 30th of June 2014.
These decisions are temporary and not permanent, and will continue until December 2014, when Uefa’s Club Financial Control Body investigatory chamber will complete the assessment of their overdue payable position as on 30 September 2014.
