2) Retain their best players. Last summer saw the late sale of Mehdi Benatia, one of Europe's top center halves. While called for due to circumstance, selling their best players must not not become a trend for Roma. With gems such as Miralem Pjanic, Kevin Strootman, and Radja Nainggolan, Roma must be sure they push knocking European giants away if they wish to become a giant themselves.
3) Invest in quality full backs. While fantastic, Maicon will soon reach the point where he can no longer bomb up and down the right flank tirelessly. Additionally, following the disappointing performance of the English experiment Ashley Cole, the left full back role is lacking serious quality. Critical both to Rudi Garcia's offensive system and Roma's development, Roma must must splash the cash on quality full backs such as Matteo Darmian in order to continue developing.
4) Take Europa League seriously. The Europa League will let Garcia and his squad continue gaining experience in European competition. Alesandro Florenzi and Juan Manuel Iturbe need to experience playing under the pressure of a European knockout competition in order to make an impact in next years Champions League. Furthermore, the Europa League will give Garcia the chance to rotate a squad filled with class and in desperate need of minutes. Promising players such as Mattia Destro, Ucan and Paredes must use the added minutes in order to continue their development and earn a place in the starting lineup. Finally, a good performance in the Europa league would lead to higher coefficient points for both Italy and Roma and would help the Giallorossi avoid being seeded in group 4 and another "group of death"
5) Win the Scudetto. A Scudetto in Rome is long overdue and would reestablish a winning mentality in the Italian capital. Furthermore, holding the title of champions of Italy would help transfer director Walter Sabatini convince bigger names to come join the project.
