Having to wake up in Down Under, at 3.45am, and see the score
H Verona v AC Milan 2-1 in the 81st minute made me think, ' is Ac Milan going to start the same as last season?'
So, on to the much awaited Serie A start. After having watched the Spanish, English and Germany leagues, already into their second weeks, it poses the question; Are we on that order of Football ranking? In my opinion the answer is definitely yes. Technically, however, in my opinion Serie A, is still the most difficult.
The second match between
Sampdoria and Juventus (0-1), with a goal from a well worked action finished off by
Tevez in the second half, shows Antonio Conte's team is still the one to beat! By beating
Sampdoria, the team that took the most points from Juventus last season, is sending a strong message to the rest of the competition, otherwise it may be, Good-night for everyone else. Juventus produced a, not so much brilliant performance, but an overpowering one. Will this performance be enough for the 'Champions League?' At this stage I believe the answer is no! Not unless Juventus buy some players before the market closes.
Today, we will see Internationale in action. Will
Mazzarri's team improve on last years performance? Having
Campagnaro in the side is an improvement, but purchasing
Icardi and
Belfodil (30 million) begs the question, why! Was this
Moratti's doing? Come on
Thohir!
